We are currently looking for X-ray nurses to join our dedicated team in Ljungby!

The X-ray department in Ljungby is part of the organization for imaging and functional medicine, along with the X-ray department in Växjö, clinical physiology, and mammography. Here, you have the opportunity to perform most common X-ray examinations such as conventional X-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and interventions. The operations are mainly conducted during the day with on-call duties at nights and weekends.

The department currently consists of about 40 employees in the professional groups of nursing assistants, X-ray nurses, radiologists, and medical secretaries. Here, you will find a workplace with high engagement, good team spirit, and a focus on quality, development, and patient safety.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our mission is to provide high-quality imaging and functional diagnostics within given conditions and with the patient in focus.

The position includes the usual tasks for an X-ray nurse, with rotation between our different modalities. You will perform diagnostic imaging examinations within the department's modalities and are responsible for maintaining good image quality and following applicable radiation safety procedures. The work also involves regular patient contacts, where you meet patients in varying situations and ensure a safe, respectful, and professional approach.

You will closely collaborate with radiologists, nursing assistants, and other professional groups in daily work to ensure an efficient flow and high patient safety. The role also includes contributing to the development of the organization by participating in improvement work, reviewing procedures, and engaging in various initiatives aimed at strengthening the quality of the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed X-ray nurse or a licensed nurse with further education in radiography. Previous experience in the field is an advantage, but we also welcome those graduating as X-ray nurses this summer.
